          The purpose of the foundation is to promote the cooperation and friendship among the inhabitants of the area and to unite its members in the material understanding of Raquette Lake, New York and its problems; so that the entire membership will go forward in carrying out the preservation and conservation of Raquette Lake and its watershed through education, advocacy and broad based community involvement.

From Utica and points South and West - 

  • Take Route 12 North out of Utica 24 miles to Alder Creek.

  • Bear Right onto Rt 28 [signs say Old Forge].

  • Continue through Old Forge another 25 miles to Raquette Lake.

  • Turn Left just before the Baseball field and Raquette Lake School and proceed into the village of Raquette Lake.

From Points to the North

  • Follow Rt 30 South to Blue Mountain Lake.

  • Bear Right at the juncture of Rt 28, and follow Rt 28 South.

  • Turn Right just after the Raquette Lake School and drive into the village of Raquette Lake.

From Warrensburg and points East

  • Follow Rt 9 North (Exit 23 from I-87) through Warrensburg.

  • Turn Left onto Rt 28 (West) 4 miles north of Warrensburg.

  • Follow Rt 28 to Blue Mountain Lake.

  • Turn Left at the Gas Station and follow Rt 28 South to Raquette Lake.

  • Turn Right just after the Raquette Lake School and drive into the village of Raquette Lake.
